Ambassador Overview
Ambassadors represent the Chamber to our members, serving as a bridge between the Chamber staff, Board of Directors, and our business community.
• Who You Are: A motivated, positive, and professional volunteer ready to support Chamber programs.
• Your Role: Build relationships, share information, encourage participation, and promote the Chamber.
• Benefits: Recognition, networking, professional development, community impact, and fun!

Annual Goal
• Strengthen communication between members, staff, and Board of Directors.
• Conduct goodwill calls, extend event invitations, and assist as hosts at Chamber events.
• Keep channels of communication open to increase member retention.

Meetings & Participation
• Bi-Monthly Meetings: Last Wednesday of every other month at 12:00 PM. Attendance is important. Notify staff if unable to attend.
• Annual Participation Investment: $50 per Ambassador or employer to help cover team expenses, due by January 31.

Ambassador Duties
• Encourage member involvement and assist in new member recruitment.
• Help members learn more about Chamber programs and services.
• Gather member feedback on activities and initiatives.
• Make outreach calls to ensure continued engagement.
• Serve as greeters and hosts at events, assisting with set-up and promoting a positive Chamber image.
• Support Membership Coordinator with onboarding as assigned.

Candidate Requirements
• Company must be a Chamber member in good standing for at least one year or be a retired person nominated by a current member.

Attendance Requirements
• Attend as many Ribbon Cuttings and Chamber events as possible (minimum 1 per month).
• Attend bi-monthly meetings; no more than 3 consecutive or 4 annual absences.

Ambassadors assist with:
• Small Business Awards Banquet & Membership Meeting
• Ribbon Cuttings
• Java & Jive / Business & Brews Networking Events
• Thanksgiving & Christmas Parade
• Downtown Christmas Open House
• Golf Tournament
• Legislative Update
• Educational Alliance Breakfast
• Membership Appreciation Lunch
• Women in Business Series
• Sand Mountain Spooktacular
• Additional events as assigned by the Board
Ambassadors receive complimentary meals at events with tickets under $50 and help ensure smooth operations.
