2023 Made On The Mountain Fest "Shepherd's Pie" Dessert Contest Registration
The Shepherd’s Pie Dessert Contest will be held at the Albertville Museum and will have a $100 cash prize along with a blue ribbon and bragging rights. The contest will be judged by a group of local pastors. Entry fee for dessert contest is $25 per person.

Competition will be held Saturday June 3 at the Albertville Museum (101 W. Main Street). Here are the contest rules and basic information.
Entries should be delivered between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm. Judging will start at 2pm The winner will be announced at 5:00 pm on the stage by the Train Depot.
- Contestants may be amateurs, Culinary Arts Students, Professional cook teams or church groups. Entry fee is $25, and registration is online at www.albertvillechamberofcommerce.com.
- Contestants may enter only 1 dessert. If it is an organization, more than 1 can be entered but must be under a “head cook” name and must pay the $25 entrée fee for each entry.
- Submissions can NOT be store bought. We are looking for “made from scratch” entrees .
- Baked goods are to be prepared in a sanitary manner.
- All baked goods must be fully baked and complete. Contestants turning in cupcakes or single serving desserts must submit at least 10 of each.
- Aspiring Bakers must use their own dish and decorations. Be creative! These can be picked up after 3
- Any leftover items will be the property of the contest organizers.
- Refrigeration will not be provided for your entrees. I would not recommend an ice cream dessert. It may sit at room temp for up to an hour so keep that in mind.
- Each entry should be turned in with an index card that includes your name, phone number, and the name of your baked good.
1. Turn-in begins at 1:30 pm and ends at 2. Contestants are not allowed to stay in the turn-in area during judging.
* Please note - the street will be closed in front of the museum and parking will be challenging with the festival in full swing. Take that in consideration when scheduling arrival for turn in time.
The Scoring System:
- Submissions will be judged on a scale of 1-5.9, 5.9 being the highest.
- Contestants will be judged on taste, creativity.
- The Contest will be judged by local pastors, so this is going to be a fun contest.
- Committee will tally all the score cards. The contestant with the highest score will be the winner.
